Hi,

I'm at the last stages of my knitting project (round neck toddler jersey) and can't seem to decipher how to approach the next steps to complete the project. Any advice would be helpful.

The instructions read:

FINISHING Sew raglan seams leaving left back raglan seam open.

Neckband: With RS facing and smaller needles, K7 (7-7-9-9) from Left Sleeve st holder, dec 1 st at center. Pick up and knit 11 (11-1212-14) sts down Left Front neck edge. K11 (13-13-15-11) from Front st holder. Pick up and knit 11 (11-12-12-14) sts up Right Front neck edge. K7 (7-7-9-9) from Right Sleeve st holder, dec 1 st at center. K21 (23-25-25-27) from Back st holder, dec 0 (0-0-2-0) sts evenly across. 66 (70-74-78-82) sts.

Hi N. Adams,

Here are step-by-step directions for you;

1. Sew Raglan Seams:

Sew the seams of the raglan sleeves together, but leave the left back raglan seam open. This will make it easier to pick up stitches for the neckband.

2. Knitting the Neckband

- With RS (Right Side) facing and smaller needles:
K7 (7-7-9-9) from Left Sleeve stitch holder, dec 1 st at center:

Take the stitches from the left sleeve stitch holder and knit them, decreasing 1 stitch in the middle. For example, if you have 7 stitches, knit 3, k2tog (knit 2 together), then knit the remaining 3 stitches.

- Pick up and knit 11 (11-12-12-14) sts down Left Front neck edge:

With the right side facing, pick up and knit the specified number of stitches along the left front neck edge.

- K11 (13-13-15-11) from Front stitch holder:

Knit the stitches from the front stitch holder.

- Pick up and knit 11 (11-12-12-14) sts up Right Front neck edge:

Pick up and knit the specified number of stitches along the right front neck edge.

- K7 (7-7-9-9) from Right Sleeve stitch holder, dec 1 st at center:

Take the stitches from the right sleeve stitch holder and knit them, decreasing 1 stitch in the middle. For example, if you have 7 stitches, knit 3, k2tog, then knit the remaining 3 stitches.

- K21 (23-25-25-27) from Back stitch holder, dec 0 (0-0-2-0) sts evenly across:

- Knit the stitches from the back stitch holder, decreasing the specified number of stitches evenly across. If your size specifies "0" stitches to decrease, just knit the stitches without any decreases.

After picking up and knitting all the stitches as described, you should have the total number of stitches specified for your size: 66 (70-74-78-82) stitches.

Thanks for the question and I hope you got this.
Have a wonderful day!

Ratcha
