increasing on sleeves

starting at cuff cast on 36 sts, knit 6 rows, change to. larger needles on row 7 and increase 4 sts evenly across row. (40 sts)
Row 8, purl, Row 9 Knit,
Then repeat last two rows and At The Same Time, increase as follows: (K3, M1R, K to last 3 sts, M1L, K3 starting on row 11 and then on every 4th row until you have 62 sts AND ALSO until you have worked 61 MORE rows. This does not make sense to me mathematically. You are increasing only 20 more its but adding 61 more rows? How is this done by increasing every 4th row? Help!

Hi,

Yes, the instruction is pretty confused.
Basically, it means to work increases until you have 62 sts. This will be around row 51, I believe. Then after that you don't increase anymore. You work even for 10 more rows until row 61.
