knitting pattern question


what exactly does this mean..........(RS) work 4 rows even. Does it mean four K rows which equals 8 rows or does it mean just 4 rows total? I am knitting a sweater and these instructions are towards the end of the sleeve cap.

"Working 4 rows even" means to continue working the pattern you are doing for 4 rows without increasing or decreasing. For example, If you’re knitting every row that you knit 4 more rows. If you doing stockinette sts then do knit one row, purl one row, knit one row, purl one row.
