How do I start a pattern when ithevonly directions says to knit 7 without any cast on directions it’s an old Irish knife bet at pattern

Hi,

Hmm, that's interesting. Maybe it wasn't necessary to mention casting on since it's a fundamental of knitting. In order to knit, you have to have a base or a cast on row. Perhaps, it's something that old knitting folks just knew. I don't know for sure.

I'm not sure what you were trying to say about he pattern. It didn't make sense to me.
