Pick Up (Stitches) And Purl

Question

My pattern says to pick up 6 stitches from edge of square below and purl them. Not sure how to do this. Thanks.

I have made a video on how to pick up stitches along the edge. I think it will help you understand better than I try to write it down. After you pick up the 6 stitches, you then can purl them.
