Question
hi, i'm knitting an afghan and i did some striping at the beginning because i was afraid i would be short of the preferred yarn, now i find i will have enough, can i rip the beginning rows with ripping back from where i am now?
Answer
Hi Lois,
Yes, you can rib back to the beginning row, but then you have to place all those sts back on the needle again. This is the part I dislike the most. In addition, some sts might drop off and then you have to pick them up. I think it is better to rip the whole thing apart and start over again. This might be faster and easier way. I hope you didn't make it too big of a piece yet. Just wrap the yarn around the ball as you rip it apart.
I wish you the best on your knitting!
