Not sure how to complete pattern - says to “insert right hand needle through 3rd 2nd and 1st sts on left hand needle and k1 yfwd k1” struggling to work it out - help! Sure it’s simple really 🤔
Mum and I were really scratching our heads over this one. If only the instructions said to knit the three stitches together. It looks so simple when you show us.

I'm so glad it worked out!

Thnak you for the video for Sirdar pattern 5294 by: Chris
I also am an experienced Knitter and was about to give up on this one. I had tried lots of different ways of interpreting the stitch. Luckily someone on Facebook was able to direct me to your video. Makes sense when you see it. You just don't purl a stitch in between the pattern stitch as it says in the written pattern but I think I get it now. Thank you so much.

You're welcome, Chris!! I'm so happy to know that my video helps you. Thank you for taking time to share your thought and comment.

Tried this way and that way was going to give up, then thought to ask you, thanks ! Thought I was going mad. So easy once you know how! Think it should be explained on the pattern due to not everyone uses the web.

I'm surprised that the pattern is not fixed. I'm glad you didn't give up. Glad it works out.

Sirdar 5294 by: Linda
A great big thank you for the video. I tried 5th row of 6 row pattern a number of times. I even contacted sirdar and their explanation didn’t help so many thanks for this video. It is quite difficult to do so I have got round this by using a smaller needle for row 5. But now will have to remember each time to change back to correct needle. Now to decide if it is worth the hassle!!,

You're welcome, Linda!

Sirdar 5294 by: Anonymous
I'm so glad I searched for info on this pattern. I couldn't understand how it looked as though I was knitting 3 together but only making one new stitch. Pattern really needs to mention not to take the three stitches from the left needle.

insert right hand needle through 3rd 2nd and 1st sts on left hand needle and k1 yfwd k1 by: Ratchadawan
Hi Marion,
This looks like a hand twitching work!
Okay, Just read through this a few times and picture it in your mind before doing it.
First, locate a 3rd stitch on your left needle. Counting 1, 2, 3 starting from the tip of the needle. Now, bring the right needle tip over to the 3rd sts and insert it through the front loop of the 3rd and then bring it through the 2nd and 1st stitches. Be careful not to let these 3 sts fall of the left needle.
Now, knit these 3 stitches together at once BUT DO NOT slip them off the needle yet. Bring yarn to the front and knit into the 3 sts again with the yarn over the needle and slip them off the needle. You should have 3 new sts just knitted.
It sounds complicated but try it a few times and you should be great at it.
Thanks for sharing your question with us. Have a wonderful day!
