Question
I am knitting a jumper using Sirdar Chunky wool but want to use a double knitting pattern for the raglan sleeves. As there are less stitches needed for the chunky knit, do I just cast off half the stitches indicated for the double kitting pattern?
Answer
I'm not sure what is the ratio for the chunky wool and one on the pattern is. What you can do is calculate to see what is the length of the cast off is by using the gauge given by the pattern. Then you know for sure how many sts you have to cast off on yours based on your chunky gauge.
I hope this makes sense to you and thank you for visiting.
