I don't know for sure how much ease your yarn will give. There are two ways you can do it;
1. Check the pattern and see how many inches you have to cast on and to work with. If it's a few inches different to 29 inches then I would go ahead and use that needle.
2. Knit a test piece using a scrap yarn with similar gauge to the pattern and work in rounds to see if it's too tight or not. If you can't find the yarn with similar gauge then you can adjust the number sts to make it works. e.g. if the pattern require 5 st to make an inch, but you have yarn with a gauge of 6 sts per inch, then you go with 6 sts. and knit up to whichever length your pattern need.
