I love the look of this Fishtail Lace. I can see fishtail upward and downward depending on which column I focus on. I actually really enjoyed knitting a hat of this pattern. After a few rows I was able to knit without even looking at the pattern.

Multiple of 8 sts + 1 (e.g. if you need to make 4 sets of this pattern, you will need 32 + 1 sts = 33 sts.)
1st row (right side): K1, *yf, k2, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k2, yf, k1; repeat from * to end.
2nd row: Purl.
3rd row: K2, *yf, k1, sl1, k2tog, psso, k1, yf, k3; rep from * to last 7 sts, yf, k1, sl1, k2tog, psso, k1, yf, k2.
4th row: Purl.
5th row: K3, *yf, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yf, k5; rep from * to last 6 sts, yf, sl1, k2tog, psso, yf, k3.
6th row: Purl.
Repeat these 6 rows to achieve multiple layers fishtail lace pattern.
Require Multiple of 8 sts
1st rnd (right side): *yf, k2, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k2, yf, k1; repeat from * to end.
2nd rnd: Knit.
3rd rnd: K1, *yf, k1, sl1, k2tog, psso, k1, yf, k3; rep from * to last 7 sts, yf, k1, sl1, k2tog, psso, k1, yf, k2.
4th rnd: Knit.
5th rnd: K2, *yf, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yf, k5; rep from * to last 6 sts, yf, sl1, k2tog, psso, yf, k3.
6th rnd: Knit.
Repeat these 6 rounds to achieve multiple layers fishtail lace pattern.
