How do increase from 30 stitches to the nine stitches as I am deleting at least 6 stitches per row

Hi,

At the beginning of the rows at 30 stitches on the right chart I do not see instructions to increase to the 9 extra stitches while in the pattern decreasing at least 6 stitches per row.
All help would be appreciated. I can't read Japanese.

Hi June,

Yes, the pattern will increase an decrease depending on the given pattern. The diamond pattern has SKP, K2tog which will decrease stitches. It also has yo that will increase stitches. So, don't worry, just follow the pattern and it should come out fine.

I finished this hat awhile ago but didn’t get a chance to post it. It is my experimental piece. The Pom Pom can be remove when you want to put up a pony tail. Thanks to my models who can tolerates such condition. :)
