increasing stitches

by Beverly
(New Hampshire)

my pattern reads as follows:

Working all side seam increases as set by last row, increase 1 st at each end of 8th and 4 foll 8th rows

I understand how to do the increases but I'm confused on when to do the increases How many rows are knitted in between the increase row? I now have 91 stitches and need to have 101. Thanks Beverly

Beverly, I'm so sorry to get back to you so late. I missed your submission.

To answer your question, first, increase a stitch at each end on the 8th row. Then increase again on every 8th row for 4 times more. So your increasing rows would be rows 8, 16, 24, 32, 40. These should make a 10 sts increase as directed.

Thanks for asking.

Ratcha
