When knitting to the marker directions say to increase, knit to within one stitch of the marker, increase, knit across. My question is, do I do the increase before or after the marker.?

You do the increase before the marker. You work until you come to one stitch before the marker. Do the increase, knit that stitch before the marker, slip the marker and knit across.
Thanks for visiting and sharing your question.
Have fun knitting!
