Hi Claire,
Row 1 -10 are pretty much straight forward. I think you've got this.
After that, you will work decrease on both ends. You have to make a note of each side because it can get mix up. Using a pen and paper to keep track of each row of each ends separately is very helpful.
for the armhole edge, you will decrease on the next row and every other row until there are only 2 sts remain.
For the neck edge, you will decrease every 8th row counting from the last row of the neck decrease. Continue the neck decrease until you have 5,6 or 7 sts depending on your size.
