Ribbing off the cast on of the sleeve by: Ratchadawan
Yes, you can do that. The sts won't pull out easily on the side but you can cut it off. The easiest way to do this is to use a smaller side circular needle or needle and tread to pick up sts on the second row away from the cast on. When you've got them all picked up then you can start cutting and pulling the cast on apart.
