dec 1 st at each end of the next and following 6 alternate rows- 8 st. by: Ratchadawan
Hi Michele,
Thank you for the question and visiting.
"continue in st-st and dec 1 st at each end of the next and following 6 alternate rows- 8 st."
This mean to continue working in st-st and also you will work decrease 1 st on each end of the next row and every other row for 6 times. When complete, you will have 8 sts left on the needle.
So, your work will look like this;
Next row (row 1): Dec 1 st at each end of the row.
Row 2: work st-st Row 3: Dec row, dec one st at each end (count as 1st decrease)
Row 4: work st-st
Row 5: Dec row (2nd dec)
Row 6: work st-st.
Row 7: Dec row (3rd dec)
Row 8: work st-st.
Row 9: Dec row (4th dec)
Row 10: work st-st
Row 11: Dec row (5th dec)
Row 12: work st-st.
Row 13: Dec row (6th dec)
This completes the decrease instruction. Now you should have 8 sts left.
