Shortening a ribbed polo neck.

How do I shorten a polo neck on a machine knitted jumper. It's quite a fine yarn. I have an electric sewing machine if this would help.

Hi Suzane

I would recommend using sewing machine only if you are folding the neck down.
I would unravel it down and bind off if I could. I'm not quite sure what is best solution for this fine knitted sweater unless I can see it in person.
