Yarn Bee is very affordable in the US. The purl spun here at Hobby Lobby is on sale for less than $3.00 today. I'm so surprised to see how high it sells for in the UK.

I'm not an expert on finding yarn in the UK but here are some similar yarns you can find that are more affordable in the UK;

Stylecraft Special Chunky,
Hayfield Bonus Chunky, or
King Cole Big Value Chunky
