Hi my pattern reads cont in patt dec 1st at side edge but doesn’t say which side will it be the armhole side or the neck side this is before the neck and armhole shaping as that is written further on it is a coat if that makes any difference 😊 x

I think this is a waistline decrease. It usually happens at the outer edge where the armhole side is.
